This position is Christchurch based in Skope's Design office and main and manufacturing facility.

Solutions-Focused Mechanical Engineer
This is a new position to build upon the current team. You’ll be responsible for helping develop cost effective solutions for SKOPE's refrigeration and heating product range, with a focus on new product design. You will need an ability to discuss designs and feedback with internal contacts and external customers and turn around fast, effect solutions. You’ll know how to streamline design to successfully complete projects in a design for manufacture environment. You will need to draw upon your experience with sheet metal and/or appliance design and increase the use of modular components across product lines. Your expertise will be called upon by others with for advice and design decision making. Experience with enclosure design and manufacturing is desired or background working for ‘design for manufacture’ companies would be ideal.
