Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
As a Site Supervisor, you will take the lead on-site, managing a crew on key structural projects. You’ll play a hands-on role coordinating day-to-day operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising and leading a team of riggers, welders, and site crew
- Coordinating with crane operators and overseeing lifting operations
- Assisting with rigging activities as required
- Forward planning and scheduling daily/weekly work programmes
- Delegating tasks effectively to keep projects running smoothly
- Maintaining strong on-site communication with internal teams, subcontractors, and stakeholders
- Ensuring health & safety compliance and promoting a safe work culture
- Monitoring progress and contributing to project delivery outcomes
- This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced site environment.
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- 2+ years’ experience in a supervisory role (within similar construction environments)
- Background in commercial or industrial construction (steel, concrete, or related sectors)
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a crew
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively on-site
- Proven experience working alongside crane operations and rigging teams
- Practical understanding of forward planning and task delegation
- Welding and bolt tensioning tickets/certifications
