You will be working for a large ISP who is the premier supplier of IT infrastructure consulting, procurement, implementation, and support services, across Key and Corporate Business segments in the local Hamilton region.

Your new role

The Snr Systems/Network Engineer will work largely within BAU and Project activities to improve and maintain the health and performance of on-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure / network platforms and will contribute to solution identification, detailed design and implementation and documentation of infrastructure solutions for their customers.

What you'll need to succeed

• A proven track record in network solution design and implementation

• Technical involvement in large scale projects.

• Proficiency across: o Networking; LAN, WAN, Wireless and Perimeter o core Microsoft technologies (AD, Printing, DHCP, DNS) o Cloud technologies (Office365, Exchange Online, Azure and AWS) o Virtualisation technologies (e.g. VMWare). o Storage technologies (SAN, DAS, NAS) o Application delivery e.g. RDS and Citrix XenDesktop 7.x o Data protection, backup and recovery o Core Application e.g. MS Exchange, SQL o Platform monitoring and management e.g. SCCM and SCOM o Windows deployment and patching o Powershell scripting o Sharepoint and Skype for Business knowledge would be beneficial.

• Two major certifications such as MCSE, CNE, VCP, CCEA, CCDP, CCIE or Citrix Certification or equivalent qualification
• One or more Vendor qualifications e.g., HP, NetApp, Fortinet, Cisco, Citrix
• Understanding or qualifications in key IT methodologies is desirable, e.g., ITIL, TOGAF, Kepner Tragoe.
