We’re excited to announce an opening for a Senior Sales Specialist to join our team at IKEA. If have you have a deep passion, curiosity, energy and understanding of great customer interactions, home furnishing and people’s everyday lives at home, we want to hear from you!
To be considered for this role experience in the following is essential:
Assisting Selling Generalist co-workers by responding to queries, providing accurate information, and resolving complex customer questions.
Analysing the reason for help to identify knowledge gaps in individuals and the team as whole.
Collaborating with team leaders to provide constructive feedback, supporting structured learning.
Developing and updating knowledge articles to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
Taking turns assisting co-workers live on the specialist support line while also working on training plans and knowledge development initiatives.
Supporting co-workers with on-the-job training in essential areas such as commercial focus, digital tools, payment processing, and updated ways of working.
What you need to know:
This role is permanent.
Work locations will vary between the external warehouse in Māngere and the office near the Sylvia Park Store.
As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts based on contact centre hours. You also must have the availability to work alternating weekend shifts.
The internal title for this role is Sales Specialist II.
The expected start date for this role is 11th August 2025.
The first step of the recruitment process will be an application form. If you are successful to the next step, you will be notified via email and be invited to complete a video Interview.
Training will involve traveling to Australia, therefore it is essential you have a valid passport and are able to travel abroad for 1-2 weeks.
IKEA Sylvia Park is non-smoking workplace.
Car parking will not be provided at Sylvia Park therefore IKEA encourages all co-workers to utilise public transport whenever possible.
