To be considered for a Business to Business Generalist role, experience in the following is essential:

  • A fast learner adept at navigating internal digital systems, including proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Teams, with comfort using multiple tools during client interactions.
  • A service-minded approach, focused on identifying a customer’s needs and tailoring solutions to meet this.
  • Excellent time management, adaptability, and the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Sales and commercial acumen with the view that business relationships aren’t always built on selling a product as quickly as possible.
  • A background in sales and/or hospitality, ideally with 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Alignment with IKEA values, with a passion for home furnishings and the ability to integrate equality, diversity, and inclusion practices within the workplace.

What you need to know
  • The work location for this role is the IKEA Sylvia Park Store.
  • This role is a Part-Time role, working 60–79 hours per fortnight.
  • The internal title for this role is B2B Generalist.
  • The expected start date for this role is 25th August 2025.
  • As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You also have the availability to work 3 out of 4 weekends in a month.
