Audit Senior

Senior Auditor role
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Auditor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading audit engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and delivering high-quality service to clients. This role involves working closely with audit directors, mentoring junior staff, and contributing to the continuous improvement of audit processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a thorough understanding of client businesses and their audit requirements.
  • Lead and manage audit engagements from planning through to completion.
  • Ensure audits are conducted in accordance with applicable legislative and professional standards.
  • Collaborate with audit directors to meet client expectations in a timely and professional manner.
  • Identify audit risks and determine appropriate audit strategies.
  • Review audit documentation and provide feedback to team members.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit proposals and fee estimates.
  • Monitor job budgets and timelines, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Participate in client meetings, including planning and exit discussions.
  • Stay current with changes in auditing standards and reporting requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of process improvements within the audit function.
  • Coach and mentor audit staff, providing performance feedback and training.
  • Assist with billing processes and ensure accurate job costing.
  • Contribute to internal team meetings and departmental initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CA, CPA).
  • Extensive experience in external audit, preferably in a public practice environment.
  • Strong knowledge of auditing standards and financial reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple engagements and meet deadlines.
  • Experience in coaching and developing junior staff.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
