The Practice Lead, Applications & Integration is responsible for the leadership and operational management of the Applications & Integration practice area. This role involves managing people, technology, suppliers, and work within the practice area. The Practice Lead will balance day-to-day management with project delivery, introducing improvements in methods, technology, and tools. They will foster a positive culture and collaboration across the department and the wider organisation. Your role will be to oversee the application development, integration and support functions, working collaboratively with the CIO and IT leadership team.

The ideal candidate for the Practice Lead, Applications & Integration role would have comprehensive experience across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and various methods of delivery such as CI/CD, Agile, and waterfall, understanding where these methodologies best fit. Additionally, they should be skilled in applications lifecycle management, from bespoke legacy-based solutions to modern low-code, no-code development environments. You will bring your strong leadership skills to your new role along with your proven ability to manage stakeholder and vendor relationships effectively. Your previous experience of being able to demonstrate comfort with ambiguity and uncertainty and possess knowledge of strategic technologies will put you in a great position to succeed in this role. You will also require the flexibility to work 1 day a week in Palmerston North.
