As a Principal AI Engineer, your role will be to lead organisations' AI initiatives, drive experimentation, and deliver impactful, real-world solutions that align with their strategic goals. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership Team, technology and data experts, subject matter specialists, and external stakeholders to bring this vision to life. You will also be responsible for identifying and prioritising a portfolio of AI opportunities across the organisation, including developing and delivering a roadmap of AI experiments and projects that solve real problems and unlock new possibilities. You’ll balance multiple initiatives while building strong relationships and championing AI across the organisation. You will build and deploy AI Solutions, designing and implementing machine learning models and AI tools that support data-driven decision-making and process automation, ensuring tangible benefits for our users and stakeholders.

Your previous experience as a highly skilled and resilient Principal or senior AI Engineer with proven experience leading AI initiatives in complex environments will put you in a great position to succeed in this role. You’ll bring strong technical expertise in machine learning, data modelling, and AI solution development, backed by a Master’s or PhD in Computer Science. You’ll be an engaging communicator who can translate complex data into actionable insights, influence stakeholders at all levels, and collaborate effectively across teams. You will be able to highlight real-world examples and user cases of building commercial AI solutions and tools, with the ability to work at pace with a problem-solving mentality.
