Boiler Technician - ANTARCTICA

Hays Recruitment is seeking expressions of interest from an experienced Boiler Technician for an assignment at McMurdo Station in Antarctica. This unique opportunity involves working in one of the most remote and challenging environments on Earth.

Location: McMurdo Station, Antarctica (approximately 1000 residents in summer season)
Rate: $50 per hour (WAGES) $60 per hour (CONTRACTING)
Two intakes available – choose one or stay for both:
  • Intake 1: October 2025 – Feb 2026
  • Intake 2: Feb 2026 – October 2026

You should have:
  • Unrestricted NZ Work Rights (no sponsorship or visa variations provided) (WHV and Open Work Visas will be considered)
  • Experience operating and maintaining Boilers
  • New Zealand Certificate in Energy and Chemical Operations (Boiler Operation) (Level 3)
