Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
In this role, you’ll be a trusted advisor and hands-on leader, helping to guide financial performance across a range of projects and business activities. Your day-to-day will include:
Leading month-end close, reporting, and project accounting
Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and pricing decisions
Managing CAPEX, WIP, and cash flow processes
Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and audit requirements
Identifying opportunities for process improvement and driving change
Coaching and mentoring team members to foster a high-performance culture
Supporting safety and sustainability initiatives across the business
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for someone who brings both technical expertise and a people-first mindset. Ideally, you’ll have:
A tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or commerce
CA or equivalent professional qualification
At least 7 years’ experience in a senior finance role
Strong analytical skills and a knack for solving problems
Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools
A collaborative leadership style and the ability to build strong relationships across the business
A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine interest in helping others succeed
Bonus points for experience in construction, engineering, infrastructure, or similar project-based industries OR working in a large, high-volume turnover organisation
