Reporting to the Project Manager, you will:

• Lead and supervise site teams and subcontractors to ensure smooth daily operations
• Coordinate plant and personnel resources in collaboration with the Project and Plant Managers
• Develop and manage daily and weekly construction programmes
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Conduct site inductions, toolbox talks, and safety audits
• Maintain accurate site documentation
• Oversee quality control, inspections, and material compliance
• Act as the key liaison between field teams and project leadership
• Promote a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum of 5 years experience in the New Zealand construction industry
• Proven experience in civil construction or earthworks, subdivision supervision
• Strong understanding of NZ legislation (HSWA, RMA, Building Act)
• Confident managing subcontractors, plant operations, and site documentation
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Ability to interpret construction plans and quality standards
• A proactive, safety-focused leadership style
