Our client is seeking a Senior Contracts Engineer to join their Hamilton office and take a leading role in the design, delivery, and administration of engineering projects across the Waikato region. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being involved from concept to completion, ensuring every project meets its technical, financial, and quality benchmarks.

Tō tūranga hou | Your new role

• Actively monitoring construction activities, ensuring compliance with design intent, regulatory standards, and health & safety protocols. Lead site inspections and guide junior staff in construction supervision.
• Serving as Engineer to Contract, managing contract documentation, variations, and communication and ensuring contractual obligations are met and risks are managed effectively.
• Conducting QA reviews
• Liaising with local authorities to ensure infrastructure assets meet requirements.
• Preparing clear, concise reports and maintaining strong communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams

Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed

• A degree in Civil Engineering
• Significant experience in civil and land development engineering.
• Strong understanding of contract management, construction methods, and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent written communication and report writing skills.
• Current NZ Driver’s Licence.
• Ideally working towards or holding CPEng status
