As Trade Manager for Mechanical Services, you will lead a skilled team of boiler operators, fitters, plumbers, mechanical fitters and a range of contractors.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Overseeing mechanical and building services including MTHW, chilled water, sewer/stormwater, compressed air, HVAC, fuel gas storage and reticulation, and boiler systems.
  • Planning and coordinating preventative and predictive maintenance programmes.
  • Ensuring timely and effective repairs and maintenance support.
  • Managing operational and capital budgets with a strong focus on cost control.
  • Using digital tools and maintenance software to monitor performance and report on asset condition.
  • Driving Health & Safety compliance and fostering a safety-first culture.
  • Building strong relationships across all levels – from senior management to contractors.

  • Experience Leadership roles within Facilities Maintenance or Industrial Site Leadership.
  • Mechanical Engineering qualification or Trade background
  • Ideally have hands-on boiler systems experience.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets.
  • Excellent computer literacy and confidence using digital reporting and maintenance tracking tools.
  • A proactive, outgoing personality with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment with competing priorities.
  • Commitment to Health & Safety and continuous improvement.
