Your new role

As a Principal Procurement Specialist, you’ll lead strategic procurement activities for complex infrastructure and technology programmes. You’ll develop and implement sourcing strategies, manage end-to-end procurement processes, and provide expert guidance across high-value projects. This role involves significant stakeholder engagement, contract negotiation, and mentoring of procurement staff to build capability and ensure best practice. You’ll be at the forefront of driving procurement excellence and delivering value for money across the organisation.

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring extensive experience in procurement within a complex organisation, ideally in the public sector. You’ll have deep knowledge of government procurement policies and processes, strong negotiation and influencing skills, and a proven ability to build relationships and lead cross-functional teams. Your ability to use data and insights to inform decision-making, combined with excellent communication skills and a commitment to equity and cultural competency, will set you apart.
