We’re looking for a Lead Engineer to take charge of managing and evolving our Microsoft Power Platform environment. This role is pivotal in ensuring the platform is secure, scalable, and aligned with best practices for low-code development and automation.

You’ll be responsible for setting technical direction, establishing governance frameworks, and working closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure the platform supports our strategic goals. Your leadership will guide developers and business users alike, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

This is a technical leadership role that requires both deep technical expertise and the ability to influence and guide teams towards best practices in modern low-code application development and automation.

To thrive in this role, you’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in enterprise application development, with a strong focus on the Power Platform
  • In-depth understanding of Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dynamics, and Copilot Studio
  • Expertise in platform governance, including environment management, security, and compliance
  • Familiarity with licensing models, capacity planning, and cost optimisation
  • Experience with monitoring tools and performance tuning
  • Solid grasp of integration methods using APIs, connectors, and Azure services
  • Knowledge of identity and access management using Azure AD/Entra ID
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • A track record of mentoring and guiding development teams
  • Eligibility for a New Zealand government security clearance
  • A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent practical experience
  • Familiarity with AI tools within the Power Platform is a plus.
