This ICT Category / Procurement Specialist role is a fixed‑term parental leave cover, available to start as soon as possible, with potential to extend.
Sitting within an established ICT procurement function, this role is well suited to someone at a strong junior or intermediate level. You will support end‑to‑end ICT procurement activity across software, hardware, and IT services, working closely with internal stakeholders and external suppliers. The role will involve a mix of supporting procurement activity and managing defined pieces of work, with scope to take on greater responsibility depending on experience and capability.

You will bring practical experience or exposure to ICT procurement within an enterprise or structured environment. You’ll be comfortable supporting sourcing activity, supplier engagement, and commercial or category‑related work, and will demonstrate sound commercial judgement with strong analytical capability.
You’ll be confident working with stakeholders, able to manage multiple priorities with guidance and support, and motivated to develop your procurement capability within a regulated or complex organisational setting. Exposure to category reporting, value tracking, or government procurement rules is advantageous but not essential.

In return, you’ll gain a competitive salary at a premium for the fixed-term nature of $135,000 - $145,000 as well as hands‑on experience within ICT category procurement in the energy and utilities sector, working on meaningful initiatives that support essential services. You’ll be supported by an experienced commercial and category management team and gain exposure to enterprise‑scale procurement across technology and professional services. The role offers flexible working arrangements (including the option of a four‑day working week), practical learning opportunities, and experience that will position you strongly for future procurement or commercial roles.
