As a Senior Data Engineer, you will focus on developing scalable, reliable data processing services rather than statistical modelling or data science. You will work within a collaborative project environment alongside developers, analysts, and architects to deliver high‑quality data solutions used across the organisation.

Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Data Engineer or similar role.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Python/PySpark, SQL and data pipeline orchestration.
  • Experience designing Medallion architecture and production-grade ELT/ETL processes.
  • Proficiency in Python, PySpark and SQL for large-scale data processing.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitLab, GitHub).
  • Familiarity with cloud data warehousing tools such as Azure SQL, Snowflake, Synapse, Redshift or BigQuery.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
  • Strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and collaborative ways of working.

Location – Christchurch (Must be able to work from the office 3 days a week)
