Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
As Senior Project Manager, you will take end-to-end ownership of assigned projects, working with cross-functional project teams (no direct reports) and overseeing all aspects of planning, execution, governance, and reporting. You will also support the ongoing evolution of project management best practices within Delivery Services.
Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop comprehensive project, budget, and resource plans aligned with IST standards and governance requirements.
Partner with business and IST stakeholders to clarify scope, priorities, and delivery timelines.
Create strong business cases and guide them through the review and approval process.
Manage project delivery across time, quality, cost, issues, risks, and dependencies.
Lead and coordinate the project team, ensuring clarity of roles, responsibilities, and milestones.
Deliver outputs in accordance with the IST Project Management Framework and tailored project requirements.
Maintain clear, consistent communication using appropriate channels to keep all stakeholders informed.
Work closely with vendors to establish and manage contracts, ensuring optimal delivery of services and solutions.
Provide regular project updates and progress reports to the Delivery Portfolio Manager.
Prepare high-quality status reports and project documentation.

Proven experience delivering complex technology and/or infrastructure projects.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to influence without direct authority.
Excellent planning, communication, and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
A proactive, solutions-focused approach to challenges and risks.
Experience working with external vendors and contract management.
