As the BDM/ Digital Marketing consultant, you will be working for a growing marketing agency on the North Shore in Auckland. Reporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of the end‑to‑end new business process, acting as the first point of contact for prospective clients. You’ll be responsible for building and managing a strong sales pipeline, understanding client challenges, and positioning tailored digital marketing solutions that deliver measurable value. This is a true hunter role, well suited to someone who is confident opening doors, managing multiple opportunities, and converting leads into long‑term clients.

- Proactively identify, target, and engage new business opportunities across relevant industries
- Manage the full sales lifecycle, from initial outreach through to proposal, pitch, and close
- Develop a deep understanding of prospective clients’ commercial and marketing challenges
- Position digital marketing services including SEO, AI‑driven search, paid media, and strategy as value‑led solutions
- Work closely with senior stakeholders to develop compelling, tailored proposals
- Maintain accurate pipeline reporting using CRM tools
- Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly new business targets
- Represent the business at networking events and industry forums
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
- Minimum 2–4 years’ experience in a business development or sales role within a digital marketing, media, or agency environment
- Solid understanding of digital marketing services, particularly SEO and paid media (Google Ads and social platforms)
- Genuine interest in how AI is reshaping search and marketing (technical expertise not required)
- Confident communicator, able to engage with stakeholders from marketing managers through to senior leadership
- Highly organised, self‑motivated, and comfortable managing multiple sales opportunities at once
- Experience using CRM systems such as Pipedrive (or similar)
- Strong commercial mindset with a proven track record of achieving or exceeding targets
