You’ll be joining a large organisation undertaking a significant modernisation of its technology landscape. With multiple transformation initiatives underway, this organisation is moving toward a more modern, cloud‑aligned architecture and uplifting its core digital capabilities. They are looking for a seasoned Solutions Architect who can guide a major migration to Azure while ensuring technology decisions support long‑term organisational goals.

Tō tūranga hou | Your new role

As the Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for leading architectural direction across an upcoming cloud migration programme, with a strong focus on Azure, integration, and modern application patterns.

In this role, you will:

• Translate business and technical requirements into scalable solution architectures aligned to cloud best practice.

• Lead the design of Azure based solutions, including landing zones, integration patterns, identity flows, security considerations, and modern hosting approaches.

• Assess on‑premises and legacy systems, defining migration pathways and identifying opportunities for consolidation, modernisation, or retirement.

• Guide delivery teams and vendors, ensuring build activities remain aligned to the agreed architecture and enterprise standards.

• Produce high quality architectural artefacts, including patterns, options analysis, solution designs, and non‑functional requirements.

• Engage with internal stakeholders, becoming a trusted advisor and supporting the organisation in navigating complex technical decisions.

• Champion innovation, evaluating emerging technologies and recommending improvements to support future-state architecture.

• Contribute to architectural practice development, supporting consistency, continuous improvement, and collaboration across teams.

• Significant experience as a Solutions Architect delivering complex technology solutions.
• Strong architectural expertise across Azure cloud platforms, including migrations, landing zone design, integration, identity, and security.
• Background in application and system modernisation, preferably involving legacy-to-cloud transition.
• Solid understanding of integration, modern API approaches, data flows, and cloud aligned patterns.
• Experience working with mufti vendor delivery environments.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly.
• Knowledge of Agile and SDLC practices, and experience producing high quality technical documentation.
