Tō tūranga hou | Your new role

You will be responsible for delivering mobile banking solutions to clients across the full project lifecycle. This includes pre‑sales support, requirements and gap analysis, project coordination, branding, product enhancement and extension, localisation, system integration, testing and deployment.

As a Software Developer, you will contribute across all stages of delivery, with a strong focus on developing enhancements and extensions to existing products.

The role may require occasional out‑of‑hours support in response to critical incidents or essential business needs.

• Support the development of high‑quality mobile software as part of an agile scrum team.
• Contribute to strong code quality by maintaining and improving software development standards.
• Support technical design decisions by validating approaches and prototyping new concepts.
• Work closely with team members to help achieve successful sprint outcomes.
• Encourage and mentor junior team members to support their ongoing development.
• Proactively identify and raise technical, security, delivery and performance risks.
• Actively contribute to and help promote a DevOps culture.
• Identify and implement continuous improvements to development practices.

Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed

• Experience contributing to large‑scale products within complex enterprise environments, including work across both modern platforms and legacy systems.

• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams.

• Deep knowledge of Android development and design best practices, including Android design standards.

• A demonstrated interest in delivering high‑quality, market‑leading software and staying up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.

• An interest in working within an agile scrum environment.

• A willingness to broaden technical capability and explore new technologies.

• At least five years of hands‑on experience developing downloadable Android mobile applications.
  
  Nice to have

• Experience using AI tools and AI‑driven practices to improve engineering productivity.

• Experience within the financial services or banking sector.

• Working experience with React Native technologies.
