We’re seeking a values-led People Business Partner to work closely with leaders across a complex, operational environment, supporting the delivery of strategic people initiatives while providing high-quality generalist advice across the full employee lifecycle.

This is a role where you’ll balance strategic influence with hands-on delivery. You’ll work alongside senior leaders to build capability, lift performance, manage change, and create an engaging, inclusive employee experience.
Key responsibilities include:
- Building trusted, credible relationships while appropriately challenging leaders to achieve better people outcomes
- Delivering end-to-end People & Culture support across the employee lifecycle
- Coaching leaders on performance management, employee relations, and workforce planning
- Partnering on organisational change, workforce initiatives, and people projects aligned to business strategy
- Championing values, inclusion, wellbeing, and continuous improvement
- Supporting collective bargaining activity and union relationships where required
- Ensuring people practices align with New Zealand employment legislation and best practice
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
We’re looking for a pragmatic, confident People professional who enjoys working closely with the business and can operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
You’ll bring:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a People / HR generalist or business partnering role
- Strong working knowledge of New Zealand employment and industrial relations legislation
- Proven experience coaching leaders on ER, performance, and people management matters
- The ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
- Experience supporting change initiatives and improving people processes
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills
- A practical, solutions-focused mindset with strong follow-through
