Finance Operations Officer – Accounts Payable

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer for an immediate start on a 3-month temporary contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing team within a large, fast-paced organisation where you'll play a key role in managing a high volume of transactions.


About the role :

Reporting into a supportive team, you will be responsible for end-to-end Accounts Payable processing within a high-volume environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Processing domestic and international invoices into Oracle, ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • Managing creditor reconciliations and following up on outstanding items
  • Resolving invoice and supplier issues in a timely manner
  • Creating and maintaining supplier records, including onboarding and changes
  • Running payment processes in line with scheduled deadlines
  • Managing AP inbox and responding to internal and external queries
  • Building strong working relationships with stakeholders and suppliers
  • Ensuring a high level of customer service and continuous process improvement

About you:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • 2–3 years' Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment
  • Experience with foreign payments
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Sound understanding of fraud risk and error identification
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical capability
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Solid systems skills, ideally Oracle, plus MS Excel proficiency
  • A proactive, adaptable and team-focused approach

Working Arrangements:
  • Hybrid model: 3 days in office/up to 2 days from home
  • Initial 2–4 weeks training fully on-site
  • Standard hours: 8:00am - 4:30pm
  • Busy period: first two weeks of each month.
