You will be a bridge between finance and operations, specifically working alongside the customer-facing and retail teams. The finance team in this organisation are viewed internally as a trusted and credible source of support and advice, and as such, this role will work with sales teams to understand their specific markets, identify potential pressures and opportunities, and improve the overall financial performance of this arm of the business.

This is a sought-after organisation to work for, so you will need to be able to demonstrate high calibre performance in previous business partnering roles. Highly valued experience will come from FMCG, or agricultural businesses, or a retail/sales-driven environment. In addition to your sector experience, you'll be able to demonstrate sound financial and accounting acumen, either through a professional accounting qualification (CA etc) or through extensive demonstrated ability in financial/commercial roles.

Above all, your success in this role will be determined by your ability to engage, collaborate, and influence your stakeholders at all levels of the business. Personality, attitude and approach are highly important in this role – you will need to balance being a team player as well as a leader who people want to follow.
