We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a busy, high-performing team in a permanent, full-time position based in Wellington CBD.

About the Role

In this hands-on role, you'll support the Payroll Manager and Senior Payroll Advisor to deliver accurate, timely payroll across a large and complex organisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• End-to-end payroll processing across a fortnightly high-volume cycle

• Managing manual adjustments, reimbursements, and reconciliations

• Ensuring compliance with NZ payroll legislation and employment agreements

• Maintaining payroll data accuracy and supporting audits

• Supporting system improvements, testing, and process enhancements

• Building strong relationships across the business and providing payroll guidance
  
  What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience in NZ payroll within a high-volume environment

• PayGlobal system experience (essential)

• Strong knowledge of NZ payroll legislation (Holidays Act, ERA, KiwiSaver, tax)

• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving ability

• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced setting
