Key Responsibilities

• Implement and Operationalise AI‑assisted delivery workflows within Databricks
• Use Databricks Assistant For code translation, refactoring, test scaffolding, and documentation
• Apply Databricks Genie for data exploration and downstream consumption support
• Support AI‑assisted modernisation of legacy assets (Excel, SAS, R, Python)
• Define prompt patterns, templates, and reusable AI artefacts
• Ensure all AI‑assisted outputs are reviewable, testable, version‑controlled, and auditable
• Embed AI safely within existing SDLC, governance, and security constraints
• Document lessons learned and establish clear “do and do not” AI usage guidance

Required Skills & Experience

• Hands‑on experience with AI‑assisted software or data engineering workflows
• Strong experience with Databricks or similar data platforms
• Solid Python skills and ability to reason about SQL, PySpark, and R
• Experience using AI tools for code generation, translation, or refactoring
• Strong understanding of SDLC, testing practices, and production standards
• Ability to work pragmatically within regulated or governed environments

Strongly Preferred

• Direct experience with Databricks Assistant and/or Databricks Genie
• Modernising legacy or spreadsheet‑based systems using AI assistance
• Experience in regulated, auditable, or risk‑sensitive environments
