Reporting directly to the CE in Auckland, this role is ideal for someone with proven management experience in a distribution-focused business model. You will take full responsibility for the success of the company’s Wellington branch, with a strong emphasis on delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, managing inventory and ensuring high levels of distribution efficiency. A hands-on leader, you will inspire and motivate your team to consistently deliver outstanding service and high-quality product delivery.
Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
- Run the day-to-day operations of the branch including warehouse and delivery
- Set goals for sales & operations teams and ensure they are met
- Help grow customer base to improve sales & profit
- Support and train sales team to build on their skill set and drive higher margins
- Responsible for branch budget, full P&L and overall financial performance
- Oversee all health & safety requirements for the branch
- Collaborate with other NZ branches to ensure customer centricity across NZ
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
- Experience in distribution — metals industry experience is a bonus, but not essential
- Background in sales management, with a track record of driving growth
- Confident in managing budgets, including P&L and balance sheets
- A people-focused leader who can connect with sales, warehouse, and drivers
- Strong commercial thinking and the ability to plan for future branch growth
- Great communication and presentation skills
- A full, clean driving licence
