Building Apprentice

Location: Wellington, New Zealand

We are a well-established construction company based in Wellington and are looking for a skilled building apprentice to join our team. As an apprentice, you will be involved in a wide range of building tasks, working under the supervision of experienced builders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the construction of new buildings and renovation of existing structures.
• Measure, cut and shape materials using hand and power tools.
• Carry out basic carpentry tasks, such as framing and roofing.
• Follow instructions from senior builders to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean and safe worksite at all times.
• Attend off-site training to improve skills and knowledge.

Key Requirements:

• Relevant trade qualification or currently enrolled in a building apprenticeship.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual labour tasks.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
