Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
As Site Foreman, you'll take ownership of day-to-day site activities, leading a team of skilled carpenters ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on while also taking responsibility for leading others. You will spend part of your day coordinating site operations, managing productivity and maintaining quality standards, while still getting on the tools and supporting the team where required.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and mentoring a small team of carpenters and subcontractors
  • Coordinating daily site activities and programme delivery
  • Maintaining high standards of health, safety and quality construction
  • Working closely with Project and Site Managers
  • Being hands-on and assisting with carpentry work when needed
  • Building positive relationships with clients, suppliers and the wider project team
  • Helping drive a positive team culture on-site

  • Be a qualified carpenter or have an equivalent trade background
  • Previous experience leading a crew, supervising site works or working as a Foreman
  • Strong understanding of residential and/or commercial construction methodologies
  • Ability to motivate a team and lead from the front
  • Sound knowledge of health and safety practices
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • A positive attitude and team-first approach
  • Desire to continue learning and progressing your construction career
