Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
As a Construction Foreman, you will take ownership of on-site delivery, leading crews and coordinating daily operations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. You will work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to plan works, manage subcontractors, and drive programme outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Supervising site crews and subcontractors
- Coordinating daily activities and short-term planning
- Ensuring health & safety compliance and site standards are maintained
- Monitoring progress against programme and resolving on-site challenges
- Maintaining quality assurance and documentation
- Supporting a strong team culture and mentoring junior staff
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience in a Foreman or Leading Hand role on commercial construction projects
- Strong understanding of structural construction methodologies and sequencing
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Commitment to health, safety, and quality outcomes
- A proactive mindset with the ability to problem-solve on the go
- Relevant trade qualification or equivalent industry experience
