Drilling Assistant - NZ FIFO

We're on the lookout for 10x Drilling Assistants to join our team across multiple mine sites in New Zealand. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, build valuable skills, and take the first step toward a rewarding career in mining. You will be working on 2 weeks on, 1 week off the roster with all travel, food & accommodation being provided for you.

Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
  • Assist the driller with rods
  • Assist with setting up, dismantling & moving drill rigs.
  • Remove/clean core samples
  • Presentation of core samples
  • Assist in daily pre-starts
  • Monitor & maintain fuel/oil levels
  • Routine maintenance on rigs
  • Clean drill rigs, vehicles, equipment & tools
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
  • Full driver's license & able to drive a manual
  • NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident (no work visas)
  • Previous trades experience
  • Clean criminal history check
  • Strong H&S standards
  • Must be happy to work away from home for up to 2 weeks at a time
  • Must be able to lift over 23kg
  • Open to working day or night shifts
