A leading private organisation with a well‑established IT function is seeking a Finance Senior Business Analyst to join a high‑profile project based in Auckland CBD. This is an initial 6‑month contract, with a strong possibility of extension. Our client is ideally looking for someone who is available to start immediately.

Working closely with business and finance stakeholders, you will play a key role in defining requirements, facilitating workshops, mapping current and future-state processes, and ensuring solutions deliver measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities
Lead requirements gathering activities and define clear business needs and scope.
Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions across finance and business teams.
Develop and maintain high-quality business analysis artefacts, including requirements documentation, process maps, user stories, and functional specifications.
Analyse and document current-state and future-state business processes.
Support work scoping, estimation, prioritisation, and delivery planning.
Partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and operational efficiencies.
- Ensure requirements and solutions align with business objectives and deliver value-driven outcomes.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst within finance-focused environments.
Strong experience in work scoping, estimation, and requirements definition.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and workshop facilitation skills.
Solid knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Revenue Accounting, and finance processes.
Experience working within Corporate Finance environments.
Strong process mapping capabilities, including as-is and to-be analysis.
Excellent documentation skills across requirements, processes, and business artefacts.
A proactive, self-motivated approach with the ability to work independently.
Experience working within Agile environments.
The ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes under tight deadlines.
