Your new role
The Finance Manager is a critical senior position for this organisation, acting as a key financial and strategic advisor, providing quality financial, commercial and strategic business advice to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Board, and is accountable for driving financial alignment across the business. The Finance Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of business services, including:
Providing hands-on management, development and support to a team of four
Ensuring best practice and robust internal controls within finance
The effective management of all legal obligations of the organisation
Supporting the investment, planning and implementation of the business plan priority initiatives as determined by the CEO and Board
Developing financial models in order to support work streams, including scenario modelling, competition options, and projections
Provision of timely monthly management reports for the senior leadership team
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a Chartered Accountant with a high EQ and the ability to lead and motivate a diverse team. You'll have experience managing complex relationships with competing demands placed on the business both internally and externally. You'll have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding financial targets; developing and managing budgets; and developing business cases and financial models. Strong financial systems knowledge is a must (advanced Excel and Xero) and experience in the introduction of new finance systems will be looked upon favourably.
