Are you experienced in Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable in a Team Leader role?
My client has a new role available as a Financial Services Team Leader.
They are looking for someone with experience in financial transactions such as accounts receivable and payable in a team leader (or similar) capacity. It is a large New Zealand company with a great finance team based here in Tauranga.
The Role:
- Provide effective leadership and being accountable for Account Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, maintaining strong internal controls, and driving continued improvements in financial processes.
- Set the targets and develop reports/processes to monitor the performance of AP and AR functions and ensure the team has the skills and capability to achieve the goals.
- Lead by example, motivate, coach and develop team members and foster a culture of continuing improvement and collaboration.
- Responsible for the integrity of AP and AR data and ensures coding, payments, banking, debtor management, suppliers’ and customers’ records, reconciliations, and approvals are completely timely and accurate.
- Provide timely data, analysis and report to management to support governance and decision-making.
About You:
- Proven experience (typically 3–5 years) as a team leader in leading financial services, with a focus on AP and AR processes.
- Demonstrated the ability to manage high-volume transaction processing accurately and efficiently, and experience in leading the team to resolve issues.
- Familiarity with month-end and year-end closing processes and impact.
