As Engineering Manager, you’ll lead and mentor a talented geotechnical team, overseeing the delivery of high-quality technical solutions across a range of projects. You’ll manage project lifecycles from concept to completion — including design, investigations, reporting, and client engagement — while driving operational efficiency and profitability. You’ll play a key role in expanding their client service offerings, building client relationships, and positioning them as an industry leader. This is a strategic leadership role where your vision, technical expertise, and business acumen will directly influence the growth and success of their Wellington office.
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) registration in NZ (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
8–10 years of New Zealand-based geotechnical engineering experience, including design, site investigations, and reporting
4+ years of proven leadership and team mentoring experience
Excellent business development skills and a vision to expand services into civil, structural, and related disciplines
Strong project management skills: budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management
Financial acumen to drive profitability and sustainable growth
Excellent client relationship and stakeholder engagement skills
Collaborative approach to working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders
