Our client is a successful organisation in the construction industry, and they are looking for a hands-on HR Manager to build and lead its people function.
Tō tūranga hou | Your new role
This is a hands-on, stand-alone HR role where you'll be responsible for designing and implementing core HR frameworks, managing recruitment and retention, supporting performance and employee relations and ensuring compliance with employment legislation. Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and lead fit-for-purpose HR policies and procedures
- Lead recruitment, onboarding and retention initiatives
- Provide guidance on performance management and employee relations
- Partner with the leadership team to align HR practices with business goals and values
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeedWe're looking for someone who brings more than just HR expertise. You'll be:
- Positive and solution-focused, with a can-do attitude and a collaborative approach
- Proactive and hands-on, ready to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in
- Experienced in a generalist HR role, ideally in a sole charge, or SME setting
- Confident working independently and making decisions
- Knowledgeable in NZ employment legislation and HR best practices
- Comfortable navigating the practical realities of a trade-based workforce
This role is a 12 month fixed term contract initially and for 25 hours per week.
