Permanent INFOSEC Assurance Consultant role focused on GRC and C&A Processes

Your new company

This large public sector agency provides essential services to New Zealand in a fascinating and dynamic environment. The organisation are looking to add further capability to its Cybersecurity practice, with the addition of 2 newly created Assurance Advisor positions. You will join a high performing team of GRC cybersecurity professionals as they look to implement Continuous Security Assurance capabilities.

Your new role

In your new role you will be supporting a variety of critical internal projects across various domains, working with the business to enable, modernise and advise on best practices. You will work with the team to manage assurance processes to certify and accredit (C&A) new platforms and systems to mitigate risk and potential threats, ensuring they are protected effectively. A typical day, if such a thing, would see you work across INFOSEC assurance and risk assessment, collaborating with wider teams to build out reports and assess capabilities for platforms and supply chains.

What you'll need to succeed

Your previous experience of working in governance, risk and compliance coupled with your ability to work effectively with various stakeholders will see you excel in your new position. You will also require:
  • Knowledge of Information security.
  • Experience in Certification and Accreditation best practice.
  • The ability to present complex issues in clear and understandable language.
  • Have examples of effectively working as part of a team.

This could suit someone with a year to a few years' experience, looking for their 2nd or 3rd role as a Cyber Consultant. The organisation are open to a background working in the public sector or for consultants and vendors.
