As IT Solution Owner – Data and Reporting, you will be responsible for reimagining how data is used across the organisation. Reporting to the IT Delivery Lead, you will work closely with IT teams and business stakeholders to design, deliver, and continuously improve enterprise‑wide reporting and business intelligence solutions. You will own the Data and Reporting strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, while developing high‑quality dashboards, reports, and data models that provide meaningful insights into operational and commercial performance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the organisation's Data and Reporting strategy
- Designing and delivering self-service BI dashboards, visualisations, and reports using best‑practice standards
- Developing and maintaining the Data Warehouse and related data models
- Managing and reviewing data integrations between business systems
- Analysing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and improvement opportunities
This role offers the opportunity to have significant influence on how data enables business decisions across the organisation.
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in data warehousing, business intelligence, or ETL development
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Azure Data Services, and Power BI
- Experience designing modern BI and data solutions that support self-service reporting
- A strong understanding of end‑to‑end data solutions, from frontend systems through to backend data structures
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into clear business insights
- Strong analytical capability, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
Location: Hamilton (Must be based in Hamilton or willing to travel to Hamilton twice a week)
