Are you passionate about creating innovative learning experiences that make a real impact? We’re looking for Learning Designers to join a dynamic team delivering a major transformation programme across a large, complex organisation.

As a Learning Designer, you’ll design, develop, and maintain engaging learning solutions that build capability across the organisation. You’ll work closely with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create blended learning pathways tailored to diverse audiences and learning styles.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Develop creative, role-specific learning solutions with measurable objectives.
  • Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Maintain and optimise learning materials and LMS content.
  • Apply continuous improvement through evaluation and feedback loops.
  • Ensure quality standards and version control for all learning assets.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external providers.
Ngā uara me ngā pūkenga e angitu ai koe | What you'll need to succeed
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in adult learning or education.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and current L&D trends.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, HTML, and LMS platforms (Totara experience highly desirable).
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience designing and deploying blended learning solutions.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commitment to cultural competence and inclusive practices.

We are recruiting multiple 12 month fixed term contracts plus 1 permanent role. Fixed term contracts can be remotely based or with flexible work from home options, and the permanent role can be based in Wellington or within one of the main centres in New Zealand with acces to an office and also with flexible, hybrid working options.
