We are currently looking for a talented Mechanic AND/OR Automotive Technician to join our growing team as we look to deliver another year of outstanding service to our customers. Your New Role

• Identifying and accurately diagnosing breakdowns associated with mechanical plant
• Undertaking preventative maintenance including examining parts
• Servicing a broad fleet of heavy machinery, plant machinery & equipment
• Working both independently and in a team environment
• Carrying out general tasks relating to repairs and maintenance

What you'll need to succeed

• A Minimum of Level 4 National Certificate in Automotive Engineering, Heavy Automotive Engineering or equivalent
• Ability to work on a rotating shift schedule (overtime offered)
• MUST be able to work from heights as you will be working on cranes
• Industrial and mechanically minded and willing to do on-call work
• Ability to work in both a team environment and independently
• Full Class 1 and Forklift License are preferred

Please note: CentrePort operates a 24/7 shift rotation and candidates must be able to commit to shift work. Centreport is also an Alcohol and Drug free workplace. Pre-employment medical and drug testing is part of our recruitment process. You must have the right to live and work in New Zealand.
