This newly created role reports directly to the CE and offers full P&L ownership, strategic sales influence, and the chance to shape the future of a fast-growing business.
- Lead and coordinate aluminium distribution across 16 branches, ensuring consistency and operational efficiency
- Manage full profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet responsibility for the aluminium division
- Maintain exceptional customer service standards (98%+ DIFOT and 95% inventory availability)
- Act as the central liaison between sales, procurement, warehousing, and finance to drive alignment and performance
- Monitor and analyse branch performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and innovations
- Champion best practices in inventory management, logistics, and customer service
- Represent the aluminium portfolio in strategic discussions and cross-functional initiatives
- Travel across New Zealand (2–3 days per week}to engage with branch teams and stakeholders

- Proven success in B2B environments, ideally within privately owned businesses
- Track record of driving growth both organically and through strategic acquisitions
- Deep expertise in warehouse distribution, supply chain, or operational leadership — preferably in building, industrial, or manufacturing sectors
- Experience managing full P&L and balance sheets
- Strong stakeholder engagement, including direct collaboration with C-suite executives
- Experience operating across national landscapes and multi-site operations
- Skilled in influencing without direct authority and leading cross-functional initiatives
- Strategic thinker with a hands-on, solutions-oriented mindset
- Self-motivated, with the ability to manage multiple business functions independently
- Willingness to travel regularly and build strong relationships with teams nationwide
