We are partnering with a respected government department to recruit an experienced Personal Assistant for a 6-month fixed-term contract based in Wellington. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a team of senior leaders at General Manager level, playing a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
This role requires a highly organised, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage competing priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide PA support to multiple General Managers
- Extensive diary and inbox management, including scheduling and prioritisation
- Coordination of domestic travel, accommodation, and itineraries
- Preparation of agendas, board papers, and supporting documentation
- Taking accurate meeting minutes and tracking follow-up actions
- Managing correspondence and acting as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
- Providing general administrative support across the wider team as required
- Maintaining systems, records, and processes to ensure efficiency
About You:
- Proven experience in a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant role
- Strong diary management and organisational skills
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience supporting senior leadership
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with government systems
- Full working rights in New Zealand are essential
