Job Description: Experienced Painter
We are currently seeking an experienced painter to join our team. Initially, this position is for a 6-month term with the potential for ongoing work. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in painting, a keen appreciation for health and safety protocols, and the ability to work efficiently under instruction.
Responsibilities:
- Perform painting duties according to project specifications and instructions.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate closely with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards.
- Keep equipment and tools in good condition.
- Travel to various job sites as required (Wellington CBD and Newtown)
- Be willing to work weekends (occasional Saturday work)
- Hold a full driver’s license and be comfortable with driving to different locations.
- Be trained in Elevated Work Platforms (EWP).
- Preferred experience in painting, both interior and exterior.
- Previous commercial painting experience is highly desirable.
Requirements:
- Qualified painter with relevant certifications (preferred).
- Strong understanding of health and safety practices.
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Valid full class 1 driver’s license.
- Willingness to undergo police vetting.
- Openness to travel for work assignments (vehicle provided for out-of-town work only).
- Availability for weekend work.
- EWP training certification.
- Prior experience in commercial painting (preferred).
