An established business with a great team ethos. This is a chance to join the team as a Project Engineer and progress within the company. They are leaders in all things scrap metal and have been established for a number of years, providing a great service to both customers and clients. This position is responsible for the dismantling of plant and equipment on Project sites and for maintenance of Plant and Equipment at the various sites and yards around the country. When on project sites, this role will also be required to provide technical assistance for dismantling and demolition of plant, equipment, and structures. Processing of recovered metals from dismantled plants, equipment, and structures on project sites.
Your new role
- Comply with Safe Working Procedures or Safe Operating Procedures as appropriate for work being undertaken in regard to the dismantling and demolition of plant, equipment, and structures
- Provide technical assistance for dismantling and demolition of plant, equipment, and structures as required.
- Gas cutting as JSA procedures
- Correctly sort and process nonferrous materials as required.
- Weigh and record the weights of material as required.
- Keep working areas clean and tidy.
- Undertake daily checks on equipment prior to operating.
- Actively participate in ToolBox Talks.
- Complete all required JSAs and SOPs.
- This position is responsible for the general maintenance of all plant and equipment
- Undertake the maintenance of all machinery including trucks, excavators and forklifts - liaise with Engineering and Maintenance Supervisor if outsourcing is required
- Ensure that all necessary parts required to preform maintenance or repair work are ordered or stored on site
- Undertake repairs and/or maintenance of other fixed assets including but not limited to buildings, bin excavator attachments as directed by the Engineering Supervisor
- Preform daily checks on all vehicles and machinery and report any maintenance required to the Engineering and Maintenance Supervisor
