Your new company

My client is a construction and development project management company that specialises in subdivisions, townhouse developments and apartment builds within the Wellington region. On top of their own portfolio of developments, they also offer services from initial consultation through to full project management.

Your new role

With a couple light commercial projects kicking off shortly, they are looking for a Project Manager who can deliver two apartment projects, one being a new build and the other being a commercial to residential conversion.

• Managing projects from planning through to completion
• Coordinating trades, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers
• Maintaining strong on-site oversight and programme management
• Driving construction progress and resolving site issues proactively
• Managing procurement, budgets, variations, and project reporting
• Running site meetings and coordinating project communications
• Ensuring quality, compliance, and health & safety standards are maintained
• Working closely with leadership on delivery strategy and project performance

What you'll need to succeed

• Proven experience managing multi-unit residential construction projects
• Strong understanding of construction methodology and sequencing
• Ability to manage programmes and drive delivery timeframes
• Experience coordinating multiple subcontractors across live sites
• Strong communication and leadership capability
• High attention to detail and pride in delivery
• Good commercial awareness and organisational skills
• Confidence using construction software and digital systems
