Opportunity for a Reliability Hardware Test Technician (Contract) position in Christchurch, New Zealand.

Your new role

We are looking for a Reliability Hardware Test Technician. This is for a very advanced company within an eco-electricity engineering industry.

Your responsibilities will include:

Completes activities specified by the lead test engineer/supervisor, including microinverter test bed fabrication, test execution, test results reporting, equipment procurement and maintenance.

Supports in microinverter products software updates for testing.

Analyses / troubleshoots failures on identified systems and drive issues to closure with preventive measures.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

What you'll need to succeed

Degree or Diploma in Electrical Engineering

Understanding of electrical design/circuit diagram, implementation, and problem-solving abilities of engineering technology.

Understanding of engineering theory and principles of engineering science including design and drawing electrical, electronics, networks, basic programming.

Ability to perform component-level soldering and work with typical lab power tools.

Ability to organise and present technical data in an effective manner.

Ability to contribute and work effectively as a team member.

Ability to work with minimum day-to-day supervision.

Ability to conduct tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations.

Understand Microsoft Office and ability to navigate MySQL databases.
