Your new role

You will be developing and deploying HMI code for large water and wastewater treatment projects, ensuring the use of standardised code blocks where possible. You will do this by working closely with clients, subcontractors, suppliers and consultant engineers.

What you'll need to succeed

• Minimum 5 - 10 years of experience (Within the water and wastewater industry would be advantageous).

• Be able to Develop code for Rockwell and Schneider Electric PLCs (and others where required) and HMIs from level 1 narrative functional descriptions and/or P&ID’s.

• Experience and knowledge of HMI and SCADA programming such as Wonderware Intouch, System Platform, RSVIEW and others.
• Develop and maintain a library of approved code blocks for standard sequences.
• Assist process engineers and estimators in specifying automation system I/O requirements and control topologies, to ensure accurate pricing by electrical subcontractors and panel builders.
• Experience and knowledge with programming languages such as Ladder Logic (LD) Function Block Diagram (FBD) and Statement List (SL) and Statement Text (ST) would be advantageous.
• Extensive knowledge and experience with AC/DC Drive Systems
• Ability to troubleshoot automation systems during commissioning using electrical test equipment, e.g. multimeter, 4-20mA loop tester
