This public sector organisation are responsible for supporting and providing services that impact many New Zealanders lives. They have invested heavily in their cybersecurity function and have a strong team of governance, risk and compliance consultants that provide internal expertise to stakeholders on an array of projects. The organisation have the funding to be able to make significant enhancements to their cyber security function and as such are looking to continue to expand their GRC function requiring a Senior Security Consultant to join their high performing team and continue to develop the organisations security maturity and resilience.
Your new role
As a Senior Security Consultant you will be responsible for conducting security assurance duties across the organisation, including but not limited to risk assessments, audits, technical validations and the organisations compliance with relevant security certifications. You will utilise your strong written and verbal skills to help stakeholders buy in to best security practices as well as communicate findings and risk positions to project teams and management. You will take responsibility for understanding client requirements, collecting data and delivering analysis and problem resolution. You will also coordinate and manage the planning of penetration testing and vulnerability assessments providing authoritative advise and guidance.
What you'll need to succeed
Your extensive experience of working in governance, risk and compliance (GRC) information security roles and developing pragmatic security frameworks will see you excel in this position. Skill sets should also incorporate;
