We’re on the lookout for a Senior Database Engineer with strong DevOps and infrastructure experience to join our well-established team.

What You’ll Do:

• Manage and optimise AWS Aurora PostgreSQL databases for performance, availability, and security.
• Design and deploy global database solutions using CDK and CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps, and product teams to support database needs.
• Administer PostGIS and trusted language extensions (TLE).
• Monitor performance and implement proactive improvements.
• Ensure robust backup and recovery strategies are in place.
  

What You Bring:

• Proven experience with PostgreSQL in production environments.
• Strong knowledge of AWS (Aurora, RDS) and infrastructure as code (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Experience in Agile environments (SAFe experience is a plus).
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash) and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  
  
• Nice to Have:
• Certifications in PostgreSQL or AWS.
• Experience with serverless (e.g., AWS Lambda).
• Familiarity with other databases like MySQL or Redis.
