You will be working for a highly respected manufacturing organisation based in the Otago capital city of Dunedin. This company has a large local and not insignificant national presence, and carries a strong local reputation.

Tō tūranga hou | Your new role

You will be working as a Senior Financial Accountant within their Dunedin office. Your role will be centred around two main responsibilities. The first is supporting the Finance Manager as their right hand person, bridging the gap between the finance team and setting a high standard for the team to aspire to. The second is the provision of financial reporting, both routine and ad hoc as the business requires it. This will vary week to week, and month to month, delivering flexibility in the workload.

You will need a strong and demonstrable background in financial accounting, able to verbally discuss in detail your expertise and knowledge at an elevated level. You will have strong technology competence, able to interact with packages like PowerBI and Excel, as well as good agility in learning new software. Ideally you will carry with you a chartered certification or equivalent, and an educational level that fits with that certification - however these are not essential if you have the right career history to demonstrate your high levels of competence. You will need to be in Dunedin, or willing to move to Dunedin as the role is not remote.
